I like to think of February as my month. Since I was born in it I proclaim it! True, there are other fortunate folks who were lucky enough to be born in this glorious month, but still, it's my month. I love my birthday! I like to think that my birthday is from February 1st to February 28th or 29th depending if it's leap year. Silly I know but it's totally true. I just think that when it's your birthday you should enjoy it to the fullest. It's your day! I even get totally excited for my dude's birthday. He on the other hand is very meh about it. As soon as my birthday month is done I immediately start planning for his. He's a March baby. This year I was a little worried I wasn't going to enjoy my day. Main reason being is that my dude is away. He's traveling the world. No, he's not in the service (although it feels that way at times) it's for work. Dora, Dora, Dora the Explorer!

  Last week I decided to take my daughter to the Discovery Science Center. We hadn't been there since our visit  last year . I had been looking for different museums to take Sam and then seen that DSC was having a Dora exhibit. Sam loves Dora and I knew she'd have a blast. I decided to look no further. Sure enough, I was right. I took my mom with us on our a little trip and we both got a big kick out of seeing Sam run around with a huge smile on her little face. The exhibit was really cute. The museum isn't too big but seems big enough for her. They had a little slide, a car where you put acorns to give it fuel, a little jungle and a vet station. You'd put an animal on an MRI looking table and it would scan the animal and tell you about it. Very cute stuff. There was also an exhibit upstairs about recycling. Sam loved that also. Her favorite one was the one with a conveyor belt. You had 15 seconds to figure out what was hazardous, toxic, recyclable and I th
