I've wished for this moment since the day I started going to Hawai'i. I had always dreamt of taking my parents to Oahu. I'm fortunate to say that the dream finally became a reality. My parents had never ventured outside of the U.S, or Mexico. Every year it was the same vacay for them: San Juanito. My dad's beloved hometown, I won't lie, it's mine too. My mom was pretty much over it since she's not from that part of Mexico. She was tired of seeing the same scenic route year after year. The only part she looked forward to was seeing family and friends out there. Even then she'd sometimes stay home rather than go on vacation. A couple years ago I was lucky enough to win a pair of tickets to: Ellen's 12 Days of Giveaway! I decided to take my sister (after she agreed to sell her soul to me) to the taping. Sami is not impressed.  Sami being Sami Before I was a parent and I went to the movies I use to hate to hear kids cry and whine. If it was a kid's movie it was totally understandable. I mean, it is a kid's movie. Anything other than that I found unacceptable and totally inconsiderate of the parents. I know it sounds harsh but I speak the truth. When Sami was born my views had not changed. Being a parent did not stop me getting annoyed by screaming kid's. I might have been slightly more tolerant. Who am I kidding? My views were exactly the same. Which is why we never took Sami to the movie theater. We took her to the drive-in once. That was a close as it got. Today was a very special day. I got to hang out with my sister! We had lunch at Kate Mantilini and then went to catch the show Traces. It was amazing! This was my first show ever! There really wasn't a storyline or much singing. I think they actually sang one complete song. It was more acrobatic with some comedy. Some of the stuff they pulled off was incredible. The strength and endurance these artist have is unbelievable. I highly recommend it! I absolutely loved it and glad it was my sister who brought me to my first show! We plan on going back next week to catch HAIR. I am so excited! I think I've found a new obsession!
