I can't believe I haven't blogged since July! I think this is the farthest I've gone without yapping on here. Not that anyone is missing my grammatically incorrect posts; however, for those who are (mainly my mom) I do apologize. I haven't blogged much mainly because I was either busy or lazy, I'm sure more so the latter. A few things have happened in the last couple of months. Sami has started some new bullshit grade called "transitional kinder" and we couldn't be more pissed about it. A new law came into effect last year in California changing the cut off date from December to September. This, of course, affects Sami. It doesn't matter that we've had her in school since the age of 2 or that she knows all the crap they're teaching her, due to her age, that's where she's at. We plan on fighting this once the school year is done. Mr. Andrade and I try to work with her at home teaching her extra things. His duties are math because m...

Futbol Training Starts Now!

Sami had her first futbol practice this past Saturday. It was very exciting see my little girl start her training. It's fair to say she grew up watching me play futbol. We started taking her to my games when she was only 4 months old. I'm not sure if any of that stuck because she seems to have a good little kick on her. She understands that she's not suppose to touch the ball with her hands and when we roll it to her she kicks and aims pretty well. Had I known that I could put her in soccer at an earlier age I would have. She's still at a good age so I suppose it's ok. I'm hoping she'll love the sport as much as I do. All my family has played soccer so it's pretty much in her blood. Maybe she'll be the next Hope Solo. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

F.C Stone Roses

As most of you know I started my own soccer team last year. It's been great for the most part. There was some drama as expected, when you get too many women together. We lost some players and gained new ones. So far everyone seems to get along fine now. Only problem now is lack of motivation. This is including myself. When I first started the team I couldn't wait for practice or game days! Most of the team felt the same way. These were the highlights of our week. Now I find myself dreading practice. I find myself secretly hoping most girls won't show so I can cancel. I still look forward to game days THANK GOD, but the enthusiasm isn't quite the same as before. Not sure if the drama and stress from our first season drained me, or I just need a break. I just hope my outlook changes soon. I'd hate to lose interest in something I love so much and worked so hard to accomplish. Ya veremos.
