Some of the goodies from the show.  I was super stoked about this. I had been wanting this forever.  It had been about 3 or 4 years since the last time I seen Kings of Leon perform live. That was actually my first and only time I had seen them. The show was at the Hollywood Bowl and my compadre had given Mr. A and I some tickets to the show. They were sold out and he managed to score a pair. He felt it was almost a sin if we didn't go. The reason for that is because Kings of Leon is pretty much my and Mr. A's band. Some people have songs, we have a band. Although we loved and appreciated our experience very much, we knew the next time around we had to go all out, and we did. When I found out Kings of Leon came out with a new album I knew they'd be coming to town soon. As soon as I found the sale dates I was on it! I wanted to surprise Mr. A with the tickets and give it to him as a birthday gift, his birthday is next week, but since I was dropping mucho din...

I think I'm one of those very few people who still buy CD's. Don't get me wrong I don't buy all my albums on compact discs. I only buy the ones from artist I truly and deeply love. I still remember walking into Music Plus and buying my first CD. It was the Smashing Pumpkins Siamese Dreams album. I was stoked! I listened to that album over and over. I remember staying up till midnight to watch the Disarm video. I was so not let down. These last couple of weeks I've bought two CD's; I bought John Legend's Love in the Future and Kings of Leon's Mechanical Bull . Although I don't spend days and days listening to my albums like before, I still kind of geek out when I remove the wrapping. I also don't pay much attention to booklet anymore. Maybe I should. It would be nice to sing along with the album again.

The Kings of Leon hold a special place in my heart. I think it's fair to say that's our band. By our I mean Mr. Andrade and I. There are certain songs that pertain to certain times in our lives. I'd say A LOT of their songs. That's pretty rad if you ask me. No matter where I am or what I'm doing, if Kings of Leon comes on my iPod or the radio, I automatically pause and smile. I am instantly reminded of all the memories we have made so far. Not only do we have a love song, we have a bitching band! Aww who knew I could be so romantic?
