Hawai'i 2014

Sami's in a great mood considering she had to wake up super early.

They knocked out on their own, I didn't have to drug either of them.

Dole Plantation train ride.

Throwing that shaka sign.

Our daily lunch spot.

I think this is, by far, my favorite picture of our
entire vacation.

Testing the waters.

Don't mind the photo
bomber in the background.

I love them.

I'm fortunate enough to say that this is my 3rd trip to Hawai'i, and probably my favorite, so far. They all hold a special place in my heart, but this vacation just seemed perfect. It was long overdue. Sami had been doing the Hawai'i countdown since we booked our trip. We didn't do much this time around other than bum it at the beach. We skipped the luau because we had done it the previous two trips. We did the Dole Plantation and I did the maze for the first time. It was a lot of fun. Sadly the maze won us. We didn't finish it but vowed to get our rematch on our next trip. We stayed in Waikiki for 7 days and the time seemed to drag. Usually, that's a bad thing, but in this case it was great! We were really on Hawaiian time. The vacation was great and as ridiculous as this may sound, I even had trouble adjusting to the time change when we got back. I think what made this vacation so great is that Sami is older now and able to enjoy more. When we brought her the first time she was 2 years old. She enjoyed it then but things were a bit more difficult. Funny thing is she still remembered Hawai'i even though she was only 2. Every time the Lilo & Stitch song would come on we'd be get super excited. I think that's why it meant more this time around, Sami being old enough to understand what's going on and looking forward to it. Needless to say, we didn't even have to give her medicine for the plane ride. She was well behaved and ended up falling asleep on her own.
